Come and see, it yelled at its friends. Come and see this peculiar fellow on his barstool trying to swat me away.

Soon a dozen more elephants were gathered around the human, examining his every move.

Beazzit, the human slurred, waving his hands like a slow motion puppet without strings. Bluddy pink elevantz!

But the more he made a fool out of himself, the more pink elephants gathered around to see.

Look how red his nose is, they’d say. And those doozy eyes. Watch how he swivels on his chair and how he spills the beer on his beard when he drinks.
