Ditching The New Author Tag

After selling and giving away well over one thousand copies of my psychological thriller “Tissue of Lies”, I’ve decided to stop calling myself a new author. It just doesn’t feel right to go on describing myself this way. I know one thousand books sitting in Kindles nationwide does not make me a known author; I’ll probably never be one of those, ha ha. However, my book was published well over a year ago so cannot be called new. If my book is no longer new then I as the author cannot be new either. So from now on I’m just Carole Parkes, Author.

About caroleparkes

My husband calls me a butterfly because I flit from one hobby to another. Apart from being a wife for 52 years, a mother of three sons, and a grandmother, I'm also an author, genealogist, amateur artist, a lover of most needlecrafts, and occasional poet. Of the above, my most enduring interest has been writing and I hope to be doing it well into old age.
