Let’s Start a Bloggers’ International “Be Kind to Each Other Group”.

It seems to me that bloggers are a natural social-support group. When we read a post from someone who seems down, or is struggling in some aspect of their lives, most of us have a tendency to offer a kind word of encouragement. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we extended that support, and offered it regardless whether the recipient was feeling down or not?
This support could take the form of extra participation in comments and re-blogging. I know some bloggers are actively commenting and sharing the posts of others, but many are not. Sharing the blogs of others promotes your fellow bloggers work; it also helps your own profile. Let’s say we all re-blog someone else’s post every time we log on to WordPress. This will bring so many bloggers to our attention, people we’ve never come across before; strangers, who might in turn, promote our own posts.

Are you willing to give it a go?

About caroleparkes

My husband calls me a butterfly because I flit from one hobby to another. Apart from being a wife for 52 years, a mother of three sons, and a grandmother, I'm also an author, genealogist, amateur artist, a lover of most needlecrafts, and occasional poet. Of the above, my most enduring interest has been writing and I hope to be doing it well into old age.

I seldom reblog. Personally I tend to share in other social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, etc) to see we can get more people’s attention but either way it’s a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion!!

    • Thanks for commenting and letting me know your views. Sharing in any social media website certainly counts in my view as part of my ‘Bekind; campaign. I’m hoping to get people to share everywhere.

Guilty! I seldom reblog but just had someone follow your suggestion and reblogged my latest post. I got so many new comments and likes and will have new blogs to explore. Great idea! I must reblog more!

    • Wonderful news and congratulations on your new likes and comments. Yes please! Spread the word! Reblogging is good! Obviously, we’ll have to watch we don’t reblog sensitive stuff. I think you can tell from the post if the blogger wouldn’t mind.

  5. I think your “Be Kind to Each Other Group” is an excellent idea! I am going to add all the links you sent me to my front page and ask that everyone do the same for me. The link to my main page, The Controversial Christian, is here: goo.gl/x9CnWp. I also have a Worthy Causes section on my blog and my current promotion is for my own charity that I began last year, Gift Baskets for Charity. I am asking for nominations to win the 2014 Inspire A Difference Award from Glamour Magazine and the ID Network so that I can expand the operation. You can read the details here: goo.gl/7cwGYO. Blessings to you all!

Good idea Carole. And, if people do not want their posts reblogged they can take that option away. Thanks for sharing.
