I’ve tried several times to take a picture of this painting. I framed it under glass so it always reflected a light or shadows. This time I took it out of the frame before taking the photo, but it still shows a bit of light reflected from the window.

What a lovely painting – beaches are not easy to paint but you’ve done a great job of capturing the grainy quality of sand! Jan

Thank you Chris. By the way, thanks for reblogging my previous post ‘Lets Lirn Inglish Grammer 3’. I looked on your site for somewhere to thank you, but could only see your e-mail address. I wanted to give you credit publicly as you’ve always given me (and many others) lots of support.

Thank you for your lovely comment, but you give me far more credit than I’m worth. These paintings are over a five year period, my craft items from about ten years ago, and my stories were written over many years. I spent over twelve years of my life on my family history and during this time I hardly did any writing apart from family histories. So the items I post are not newly completed and I’m definitely not some kind of superwoman. I only wish i were, ha ha. 🙂

Still a dreamy quality about it. Kind of hazy, as if heat is rising. 🙂

This was a really quick one to paint. I used the paint well diluted like water colour, and then I wiped the brush before painting so it only left a dry streak of colour and lots of the white background showing. I must do some more using this technique, it was fun. 🙂

I don’t know anything about technique but I do like this painting.
