I painted this a while ago; it was a quick experiment using only two colours. It turned out rather strange though, as the end wall seems to belong to both cottages. Can you see it?
The light is a reflection from the glass the painting is under. It seems to be in the right spot for a light so I left it at that.

I think it’s a lovely painting. It depends where you look at the left hand house. If you look at the roof yes, it looks shared. If you look at the front wall however, it doesn’t as they don’t share the same lines unlike the gable angle with the roof.

Thank you for your valued input. Perhaps it’s just my eyes, and the way I see things. I have to wear prism glasses to help my eyes focus, but when wearing them for computer work, I see everything in really vivid 3D. It can be quite funny but when you really want to see something as it truly is, it’s offputting.
