About caroleparkes

My husband calls me a butterfly because I flit from one hobby to another. Apart from being a wife for 52 years, a mother of three sons, and a grandmother, I'm also an author, genealogist, amateur artist, a lover of most needlecrafts, and occasional poet. Of the above, my most enduring interest has been writing and I hope to be doing it well into old age.

Thanks Kathleen. I’ve been painting a few new ones this week. I just make a few washes and then let the result tell me what the painting will portray. This can be a bit hit-and-miss but I enjoy the surprise element in it.

You are good at both painting and PR (public relations) promoting others. Your colorful path painting is wonderful. It reminds me of a blog post on colour I published just last week: http://plainandfancygirl.com/2014/11/22/what-color-makes-you-sing/

In the States, we are celebrating the Thanksgiving season. Blessings to you and your family!
