Santa Cross Stitch

Merry Christmas!

Greetings to all my family, followers, and friends; here’s hoping you have a safe, joyful Christmas.

About caroleparkes

My husband calls me a butterfly because I flit from one hobby to another. Apart from being a wife for 52 years, a mother of three sons, and a grandmother, I'm also an author, genealogist, amateur artist, a lover of most needlecrafts, and occasional poet. Of the above, my most enduring interest has been writing and I hope to be doing it well into old age.

Thank you! I’ve had a brilliant time with my middle son and my lovely hospitable daughter-in-law. Today I also had my eldest son for company, along with his wife, another fabulous daughter-in-law. I saw my youngest son and his gorgeous wife just a few days ago, so all is well with my world. I hope your Christmas was filled witj joy too.

Happy Ho, Ho, Carol. I hope Santa is good to you tonight. I love your needle point picture of the generous gentleman dressed, and ready to arrive. 🙂

I count myself lucky every day of the year. I have everything that money can’t buy, which is just as well since it’s always been a scarce commodity in my household, ha ha.

I think money is a scarcity in everybody’s households anymore, but like you said there are so many blessings that can’t be bought. Here’s hoping we will both find abundance in the ‘priceless’ things life as to offer, beginning with good health, love of family, and appreciation of the beauty of nature to kick things off. 🙂

Thank for this lovely cross-stitch. Somehow I think cross-stitch feels more permanent than a photo or even a painting: every small line requires a punching through. Today I posted about a Christmas tree (now and then) on my blog: http://plainandfancygirl.com/2014/12/24/the-longenecker-christmas-tree-charlie-brown/
