SPOTLIGHT ON REVIEWERS GIVES
A HUGE WELCOME TO RAINNE ATKINS
I’m an ‘Army Brat’, and 51 years young. I was born in Aldershot and have lived in many houses, in many towns, but all in the UK. For the past 25 years I have lived in Bolton le Sands, Lancashire with my husband, Brian, my car, Cookie, and our ‘TAG’ Bazzle. I have 3 children, all of whom have flown the nest, and 6 grand-children.
I get a lot of pleasure from being creative, whether I’m drawing, painting, card making, knitting, sewing, or doing any other ‘artistic’ activity. I like trying new crafts, although not always successfully!
I was encouraged to read from an early age and it’s something I’ve always enjoyed. I like that I can escape from reality, whether it’s just for 5 minutes while I have a cuppa, or for hours on end if I have the time. I’m an avid reader of supernatural, paranormal, mystery/thriller and horror books, and enjoy watching a good film or series of the same genres.
Although I’d been reading some Indie books since getting a Kindle a few years ago, I didn’t know I was, until earlier this year when I stumbled on an Indie event. Since then I have read a lot more Indie books and try to leave reviews for every book I read.
I am honoured to be part of some awesome Indie Author groups on Facebook and I have made some great friends within those groups. I derive a great deal of satisfaction from my small part in helping to promote Indie authors and their books.
At one time I would’ve said my favourite author was Stephen King, now I have read so many amazing books by some awesome Indie authors that I can no longer pick just one favourite.
On behalf of all the authors Rainne has helped
Thank you, Rainne. I’d now like to award you The Written Acts of Kindness Award. Nothing further is required of you to receive this award. It is given freely to show appreciation to people like you who make a difference, and you do make a difference. Apart from the tremendous help you give authors by reviewing their work, you also take time to connect with them in other ways. When people comment, tweet, and take part on other posts it has a ripple effect. Firstly, it encourages others to comment, and secondly, it shows the author of the posts someone is listening, thus encouraging them to carry on. So you have earned your reward, Rainne. Enjoy!

What a wonderful idea ‘A Written Acts of Kindness Award’ and it could not go to a nicer person RAINNE ATKINS. I have had the great pleasure of meeting Rainne at the FREE Book Event that is the UK Indie Lit Fest so does so much to spread the word for authors particularly Indie Authors for which we are all truly thankful. A well deserved award find out more below
