Help! Changing the Image White Space to RGB

This is the cover we intend to use for our collaborated book ‘Your Last Breath’ but I’m having trouble changing it from sRGB to RGB which Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing demands. Has anyone else come across this problem? How did you solve it?

    I think that Amazon has confused you: RGB is as opposed to CMYK; so long as your graphics all use RGB they are fine. sRGB is a colour space – as opposed, for example, to other colour spaces such as Adobe RGB, NTSC RGB. You should not have to change that as the output process handles colorspace mapping.

      Thank you for your prompt reply. This what it says on the KDP website.

      “Product images display on the Amazon website using the RGB (red, green, blue) color mode or profile. RGB is the color mode native to the web and many color screen displays, as these three colors displayed at varying levels of intensity create over 16 million colors. When saving and uploading your cover image file, save your file ONLY as RGB – not CMYK or sRGB- for the color profile. You can usually find this option in the File saving dialog of image manipulation programs such as Photoshop.”

      As I don’t have Photoshop, I was wondering if there is any other way to change it.

        Thanks for the quote.
        Whoever wrote that does not know the difference between a colour model (RGB v CMYK) and colorspace (sRGB v Adobe RGB). However I think that what they mean is that you should ‘save for Web’, which collapses the colorspace (in your case, sRGB) into the RGB encoding.
        Assuming that the image is being saved as JPEG, your image editor should have a ‘save for Web’ option – that is the one that you should use. If you’re using a Mac, then GraphicConverter is an excellent tool for doing this. I hope that helps – if you’re stuck you can always email the file to me and I will do it for you.           Thank you so much for your informative and useful reply. The image is a JPEG and I have seen the ‘save for web’ so I’ll try that hope for the best. I had no trouble publishing the cover on my first book, and that was a painting I’d done and adapted. Thank you, again, for your offer to do it for me.

    Before you go any further, that cover is far too busy from a GD POV. Change the fonts and their layout. It’s not bringing the eye logically as the layout currently exists.
