My Poetry

If every cloud that came your way brought trouble

And every raindrop only rained on you

I’d understand your tendency to worry

To fret and scare as you so often do.

But most clouds – fluffy, white and rainless

Are harmless, floating puffballs in blue skies

So why then do you think the worst will happen?

Be cheerful, optimistic, dry your eyes.

Behind grey clouds the sun is ALWAYS shining;

Just waiting to bathe you in its golden rays.

So now, when you see those dark clouds looming.

Wait… don’t frown… it may yet be the sunniest of days

My hope wings free, my spirit soars wild.

Among the chaos, I like a child,

Can see only sunshine and life tinted gold,

And ancient stories that should be told

And yet there are other feelings its true,

That make me see hope in this world askew.

Giving love, the joy – Love returned, dreams kissed

 All make the eternal optimist.

Silver Shimmers

Silver shimmers on the water.

Heavenly fans of light shine down

From the evening sun, well hidden,

Under black clouds, a mourning gown.

There’s real promise in that vision,

Of a beautiful time to come.

All worries will evaporate,

Like those clouds, they’ll all be gone.

Your poetry is beautiful, Mrs. Carole! I can practically imagine you being all bubbly and sunny and optimistic! I am only 14, but I want to be like you when I grow old. And thank you for following my blog!

    Loads of smiles,

I absolutely loved your story ‘The Delinquent’. It’s very well written, especially considering it’s your first complete story. I have a feeling you’ll achieve every success in your writing if this one is anything to go by. It will be a pleasure to follow you and see how you progress. I look forward to buying one of your books in the future. 🙂

Regarding being optimistic, always remember, it’s your choice how you handle what life throws at you. You can moan and grumble about all the lost chances and unfair deals you had, or you can accept life as it is and try to make the best of things. Choosing the latter brings peace and contentment, knowing you did the best you could.

Thanks for following my blog, and I love the poetry. You seem to assimilate cloud formations. I like watching them too. They tell me a lot when I connect with them, like how I am feeling and what hidden messages I am desiring and needing to know within my answer ‘s inner source formed within the guidance of a cloud; illuminating an angel, a mother embracing a child, or sometimes a small beacon of light peering through a dismal, dark hovering cloud on a tumultuous day.

    • Thank you for liking my poetry Nina, and you are right,I do often look to the skies. They are so changeable. I hope you find all you seek on your journey through this life. Have a lovely day

I will use your comment as a medicine when-ever I feel weary from the world we live in. Your attitude is much to be admired, I hope many follow your lead.

  8. theauthoroftruth says:

If this attitude the world could acheive, just think what kind of world this would be. Thanks for the follow.

    • It would certainly be a more positive world, but we can never eliminate life’s problems. All we can do, is give ourselves better coping methods. If we refuse to be brought down by our struggles, and choose not to dwell on them, somehow, they don’t seem so big. Moping about some problem just emphasises it and brings us down, sometimes to a deep depression. The trick is to focus on what brings us joy. With happiness in our minds and hearts, we can more successfully deal with the problems. Happiness lies within us, we just have to bring it out. No-one else is responsible for it.

  9. you are so right…there is MUCH hope, sunshine and good in this world…every storm is followed by calm…
