First Portrait Painting I’ve Ever Done

Fairy Cerysb

My first attempt painting a person; my second Granddaughter in her fairy costume. I painted it in acrylic paints from a photograph and it’s obvious now the angle isn’t right, ha ha.

About caroleparkes

My husband calls me a butterfly because I flit from one hobby to another. Apart from being a wife for 52 years, a mother of three sons, and a grandmother, I'm also an author, genealogist, amateur artist, a lover of most needlecrafts, and occasional poet. Of the above, my most enduring interest has been writing and I hope to be doing it well into old age.

    • Thank you kind ape. I tried my best but realised when I’d finished that the acrylic white I’d used to highlight her face seemed to have a funny shine to it, so for my next one of my first Granddaughter I bought new white acrylic paint.
