Jessica Wren’s ‘Book of the Month’

Author Ian Williams

I’ve just read and reviewed Jessica Wren’s ‘Book of the Month’ for January 2015.  It’s science fiction, a category I don’t usually read, but I’m glad I did since it’s introduced me to this genre’s possibilities.

I awarded ‘Transitory’ five stars. The well thought out plot, though complicated, is written extremely well. It keeps the reader guessing the outcome all the way through. The writing is superb, overpowering the very few typos that managed to slip through, rendering them insignificant. The author, Ian Williams, took me to a fantastically different world without the normal dreary travel time  in some science fiction books. His characterisations were brilliant. They made me care about Nate, the main character, and the others who were helping him get to the truth. They also made me really hate his enemies. I congratulate this new author and look forward to reading more of his books.

To join Jessica Wren’s ‘Book of the Month Club’ just visit her page on Facebook and join from there. Transitory is only 99p at the moment and is well worth a read.!/groups/Jessicasbotm/

The rules are simple and clear. She chooses an Indie book for each month and each member has to buy the book, read it, and then review it on both and Those of you who are authors can apply to have your novel on “Book of the Month”.

About caroleparkes

My husband calls me a butterfly because I flit from one hobby to another. Apart from being a wife for 52 years, a mother of three sons, and a grandmother, I'm also an author, genealogist, amateur artist, a lover of most needlecrafts, and occasional poet. Of the above, my most enduring interest has been writing and I hope to be doing it well into old age.
